• Popular wedding dates fill up quickly, especially during peak seasons. Michelle's books are always open unless a date is already taken, so it's worth reaching out as soon as you have your date confirmed. Once booked, your date is reserved exclusively for you.

  • Yes — a non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to hold your wedding date. This amount is deducted from your final balance. Once your deposit is paid, the number of services in your booking is considered final and cannot be reduced.

  • A trial is highly recommended for any bride who wants to go into their wedding day with complete peace of mind. It's your opportunity to communicate exactly what you'd like, test styles, and confirm everything feels right. The trial runs approximately 1–1.5 hours and takes place at Michelle's home studio in Shellharbour, Monday through Friday. Please note the trial is an additional cost, separate from your wedding day booking.

  • Within three months of your wedding is ideal — by this point your dress, veil, accessories, and jewellery will have been decided, so the style can be properly tailored to your complete look. A few tips: consider which side you'll stand on at the altar and how your profile will photograph; save images of styles you don't like as well as those you do; and choose inspiration with a similar hair tone and texture to your own.

  • When you share your ceremony start time and ready-by time during the booking process, Michelle plans the morning to make sure everyone is finished on time and stress-free. She'll work with you to ensure the schedule flows smoothly from start to finish.

  • Not everyone does — but they can make a real difference for certain hair types. Extensions can add volume, density, and length; create more styling options; improve hold and longevity; and blend seamlessly with your natural hair. The goal is never to change your hair, it's to enhance what you already have.

  • Yes — clip-in extensions are available for hire at $180 for the day, with a $250 refundable bond (returned within one week in good condition). If you're considering extensions, please mention it before your trial so Michelle can assist with colour matching. If a bridal party member is bringing their own clip-ins, please advise in advance as extra timing may be needed.

  • As a general guide: shampoo twice and lightly condition mid-lengths to ends only (avoid anything heavy); avoid excessive heat styling beforehand (blow-drying is fine); and don't apply additional styling products before your trial or wedding day appointment. A little texture in the hair actually works in your favour — freshly washed hair can be harder to style and hold, so washing one to two days before is usually ideal. All professional tools and products are provided, but if you have specific preferences or known sensitivities, please let Michelle know in advance.

  • Yes — travel is calculated based on distance from Michelle's studio in Shellharbour and the size of your party. For trips over a 4-hour round trip, accommodation costs may apply. Any parking costs are at the client's expense and will be invoiced separately.
